CREATIVE OPERATIONS & PRODUCTION
Helping evolve the creative and operational systems behind home entertainment marketing as audiences, platforms, distribution, and consumer behavior shifted toward an increasingly digital ecosystem.
THE SHIFT
ENTERTAINMENT MOVED BEYOND THE DISC.
Home entertainment was undergoing a fundamental transformation. Physical releases remained important, but audiences were increasingly discovering, purchasing, renting, and engaging with entertainment across digital platforms. Marketing had to evolve with them. The opportunity was bigger than adapting individual campaigns. It required rethinking how creative was planned, produced, versioned, distributed, and delivered across an expanding mix of formats, platforms, partners, territories, and consumer touchpoints.
MY ROLE
Working within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, I helped manage the creative production and operational workflows supporting entertainment releases across an increasingly complex marketing ecosystem.
My role connected internal stakeholders, creative teams, agencies, vendors, distribution partners, and production resources—turning campaign strategy into executable programs across multiple formats and channels.
As the business evolved, I helped adapt those systems to emerging digital platforms, faster timelines, expanding asset requirements, and new ways audiences discovered and consumed entertainment.
SCOPE OF TRANSFORMATION
THE TRANSFORMATION
FROM RELEASE MARKETING TO A CONNECTED CONTENT ECOSYSTEM.
As entertainment distribution expanded, creative production had to support far more than a single release moment. Campaigns increasingly moved across retail, digital storefronts, social platforms, paid media, partner channels, and evolving consumer touchpoints. The operating model had to connect those channels without losing creative consistency, visibility, or control.
TRADITIONAL MODEL
Physical-first
Release-driven
Fewer formats
Linear campaigns
Longer production cycles
TRANSFORMATION
DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION + MULTI-PLATFORM MARKETING + CONNECTED CREATIVE OPERATIONS
CONNECTED MODEL
Physical + digital
Multi-platform
Multi-format
Continuous consumer touchpoints
Integrated production workflows
THE OPERATING MODEL
COMPLEXITY REQUIRED A MORE CONNECTED OPERATING MODEL.
01 / CAMPAIGN PLANNING — Translate release strategy into executable production plans, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
02 / CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT — Connect marketing, creative, production, distribution, agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
03 / MULTI-FORMAT PRODUCTION — Coordinate creative across physical, digital, social, retail, paid, partner, and promotional environments.
04 / ASSET MANAGEMENT — Maintain visibility into versions, approvals, specifications, deliverables, and final assets.
05 / QUALITY CONTROL — Protect creative consistency and brand standards across increasingly complex campaign ecosystems.
THE IMPACT
A MORE CONNECTED MODEL FOR A MORE COMPLEX MARKET.
The result was a production model better equipped for an entertainment landscape no longer defined by a single format, channel, or consumer journey. By connecting planning, production, stakeholders, vendors, approvals, and asset delivery, campaigns could move across increasingly complex ecosystems while maintaining creative consistency and operational visibility. The experience became foundational to how I approach creative operations today: transformation works when strategy, people, process, and production evolve together.
CREATIVE PRODUCTION
Creative production supporting entertainment releases across physical, digital, retail, social, paid, and partner channels.

WHAT I TOOK FROM IT
Universal taught me that operational transformation rarely happens all at once. It happens by connecting new platforms, behaviors, capabilities, and ways of working to the strengths an organization already has. That experience shaped how I approach creative operations today: understand the business, design the system around where it’s going, and build the infrastructure that helps teams move with it.
